A lifelong love of Music
Patrice’s interest in music started at a young age, performing publicly from the age of twelve, she went on to win five all-Ireland medals in Junior Scór, Senior Scór, Fleadh Ceóil, along with two Cómhaltas all-Irelands.
Patrice studied music at Maynooth University at both degree and Masters level, before taking up a place at the world-renowned Sorbonne University in Paris where she attained a professional Masters in Music & Performance.
Patrice has toured extensively with To Dance on the Moon and Spirit of Ireland, performing at home and in Germany, Denmark, New Zealand and Australia.
Patrice was the Choral Director in Blackrock College for nine years where she coached the all-boys choir to the final of the All Island Schools Choir Competition, and they won numerous national competitions under her direction. She was also appointed as Choral Director at Presentation Secondary School Kilkenny (known for their appearance on Britain’s Got Talent) and has coached choirs there to wins in the Sligo International Choral Festival, Feis Ceoil and Lyric FM’s Christmas Choirs Competition.
Patrice sang as a soloist at the Eucharistic Congress in Croke Park and at the opening Mass for the World Meeting of Families. She also performed as part of the Core Choir for the 2018 visit of Pope Francis to Ireland in the Phoenix Park.
Apart from her vocal abilities, Patrice plays instruments such as the flute and the guitar. She regularly performs with the Fuaimlaoi Choir based out of St Teresa’s Church in Clarendon Street, Dublin. Their CD entitled At the End of the Sky, which features Patrice as a soloist, was launched in 2021 to great acclaim.
Patrice and her sister Clodagh have also performed as a duo and their rendition of the Rattlin Bog (at Patrice’s own wedding) received world-wide attention receiving over 100 million views on-line.
She has also recorded a studio album and composed music for liturgical celebrations along with recording individual songs released with her sister.
