Frequently Asked Questions

Whether you’re planning a joyful celebration or honouring a loved one, it’s natural to have questions.

Here are some of the most common questions I’m asked when couples and families are booking a wedding or funeral singer in Ireland.

  • For weddings, I recommend booking as early as possible, particularly for popular dates in spring and summer. For funerals, I understand that arrangements are often made at short notice, and I always do my best to accommodate requests where availability allows.

  • Yes. I sing at church wedding ceremonies, civil ceremonies, funerals, and memorial services. I’m happy to guide you on song choices that suit the type of ceremony and any guidelines that may apply.

  • Absolutely.

I encourage couples and families to choose music that is meaningful and personal. If you’re unsure whether a song is suitable, I’m happy to advise or suggest alternatives that work beautifully within a ceremony setting.

  • I perform either solo or with an accompanist, depending on the ceremony, venue, and your preference. This can be discussed during the booking process so you feel confident in your choice.

  • This varies depending on the Wedding ceremony. Most weddings include music for the entrance, signing of the register, and recessional. I’m always happy to guide you on what works best.

Funeral services are very personal for each family, and the music chosen will depend on your individual wishes and the structure of the service. I always take time to discuss this with families to ensure the music feels appropriate, meaningful, and supportive on the day.

  • I am based in Co. Tipperary, Ireland and travel nationwide for weddings, funerals, and events. Travel details can be discussed at the time of enquiry.

  • You can get in touch directly by email at musicbypatrice@gmail.com to check availability, discuss your ceremony, and ask any questions you may have. I aim to make the process as simple and stress-free as possible and can give you a call at a suitable time after an initital email.
